Alright, here goes nothing....
Hootie & the Blowfish concert? it sucked. Didn't even come close on the rating scale to NKOTBSB. The whole weekend was a bummer. Maybe next time, maybe not. I still heart Darius Rucker.
School is running smoothly. The girls are extremely tired every day. Cheerleading practice has started for EL, just 2 nights a week but after that she's completely drained. Madison is captain of the cheer squad - not sure if I mentioned that in previous posts or not. They have 2 captains this year, and one co-captain. She has eagerly taken on many responsibilities. One responsibility is making bows for the girls. She is so creative and did an excellent job.
BROKEN CAMERA IS NOT WORKING FOR ME. IT IRRITATES ME THAT I CAN'T SHARE MY PICTURES!!
Nothing real exciting has happened in my life anyway here lately. Just everyday stuff. Pretty boring post but hopefully I will have pictures to share soon. I don't have one of those little card slotty things to put my camera card in on my computer so I'll have to wait until I get home to load them. But we all know that won't happen. I'm too busy when I get home....
"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." 364 days
'til my birthday.
I'm 34 now. Doesn't feel any different of course. I hate time though. I hate how my kids are growing up right before my eyes. That's no surprise to anyone - It's my every day battle.
So yesterday, I received flowers from one of my very best friends - Jen. They're beautiful and they smell delicious. Our birthdays are on the same day, ya know. I suck as a friend. I didn't get her anything.

Last night I went to Wild Wings and to Elaine's afterwards for my bday. Brett, Sarah, Cindy, Kim and Roger came to help me celebrate. Another example of how I suck as a friend? someone always feels left out. I suck. I'm grumpy. I'm hungry. and I probably shouldn't even be blogging right now. I haven't cried in like weeks - crying ALWAYS makes me feel better. I don't even need to have a reason to cry. I mean, there are always reasons (in my mind) to cry it just may not be an obvious one. So maybe I should do that. That's probably the only thing that will make me feel better.
I had a good time last night though. I wish everyone I am close to could/would have come. Here are a few pictures...

Cindy took some pictures with her camera but they aren't posted yet.
Kim was sneaky and told the waitress it was my birthday so the guys sang Happy Birthday to me and then played Let Her Cry by Hootie & the Blowfish. I almost cried right then. It was perfect! Then "Happy Bday Christy" - spelled wrong ;( was written on the mirror as the "phrase of the night". I had so much fun. It was Brett, Sarah, Kim & Roger's first time ever going. I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did.
And since I'm kind of in a grumpy mood, I'm gonna stop blogging now. Happy Friday!

Birth Control
Yep, I'm blogging on birth control. So for those of you that think this is too much info...you've been warned.
Last Wednesday, I decided to change my method of birth control - to an IUD (Mirena). Why? strictly financial. I have no problems whatsoever with remembering to take my birth control pills because every night I take a synthroid pill - which when not taken properly, I could die from. So I never forget. You see, my pills cost me $23/month and the Mirena was $25 and lasts 5 years. Who wouldn't make the switch? I will admit, had I known how much pain I was in for, I may not have made the switch. It hurt worse than having a baby. Why? Because there has been no action in my cervix for 13 years. Emma-Leigh was a c-section so, there ya go. I cried. It hurt. I think I came up off the table. I felt violated. I went home afterwards to rest. . . the following day, I felt 110% better. Yay for an IUD! I hope I love it like they say I will.
No picture today...oh wait, maybe I can find a picture of the lovely piece of plastic that is now inside my body...

there ya go - isn't that lovely? LoL
