It is amazing to me how fast you are all growing up. It breaks my heart to know that in just a blink of an eye, you will be gone. Madison swears she doesn't want to go "away" to college and Emma-Leigh wants me to drive her there everyday. I think Madison wants babies, but Emma-Leigh is scared to have a baby come out of her belly. Jaidyn and Ayla are growing like weeds, too. It makes me sad that we don't get to see them as much as I'd like but when we do see them, it's like we've never skipped a beat! They are able to just pick up where they left off. And precious little Riley. . . she is just a bundle of joy! Prettier and prettier, chunkier and chunkier each time I see her. She is drinking out of a straw now! Seems like just the other day, we were at the hospital for her birth....well, for all of them, really. My how fast time goes..Mom always said "enjoy them while they're young, they'll be gone before you know it!" I just didn't realize how fast it would go! i love you all!!!

Tuesday...3/31/09
Good day so far! The girls got up okay and we made it on time for Madison to be at broadcast at 7:30am. This was apparently her last shot - if she was late today, she couldn't do it anymore. So needless to say, she was motivated. Last night, I met Cindy at the gym with the girls and we did step class for the first time in weeks. It kicked my butt! I didn't think the hour was ever going to come to an end! The Book Fair started this week and both the girls are begging to go tonight - we shall see. Over the weekend in Carthage, pretty much where Tiff lives, just 10 minutes from her house - A man walked into a nursing home and killed 8 people. Come to find out, she calls on that nursing home and knew some of the people that were killed. Very sad. Puts a whole new perspective on things and if you let your feelings and thoughts get the best of you, could make you paranoid and terrified of everything. The best thing to do is have faith! Things happen for a reason, I truly believe!! Have a great day!

Monday...already?
3/30/09
It's Monday :( should be an okay day. The girls got up okay although Madison was still late for broadcast this morning. We had a pretty good weekend. Friday night was quiet. Damion worked late in the office and didn't come home until around 9. I cleaned the house up a little bit so I wouldn't have to do it Saturday. Saturday morning, I got up around 9 and started typing reports. Got done with that around 1, took a shower, fed the girls lunch and then Cindy came to get Madison so she can spend the night with Bayley. Emma-Leigh had been waiting on Jennifer ALL DAY to come over and spend the night with her. Brandon was supposed to bring her at 5:30 after he got off work. So, 5:30 came and went...she kept asking me "Is it almost time?" I kept telling her, "She should be here any minute!" In the meantime, Damion came home and wanted to go ahead and go clean the office at F.P.S. So he called Brandon to find out when they were coming. Turns out, he fell asleep. So we went ahead and went to clean, then the 3 of us went to Hot Dog World for dinner and met Brandon and Alejandra as we went back thru Hendersonville to get Jennifer. They played until 11:30pm, and I finally went in there and told them it was time to go to sleep. They moved from the play room back into Madison's room where they had made a bed for Jennifer right beside Emma-Leigh's. They were too cute! They were up bright and early Sunday morning! I got up and made them breakfast - blueberry muffins, scrambled eggs and bacon. Damion was delighted. So we layed around for a little bit, watched tv for a while and then we got up and went to lunch at Papas & Beer!! After that, we went to Target and then back home. During lunch, Damion got a phone call from a guy very interested in the spec house at Oak Park. That is 3 people in less than 1 week! Yay!! So he's interested in it, had already made an offer on another house but was going to back out if the price was right on this one...BUT he wants the piece of land that is right beside it. Only problem is, it's Damion's...and he's not so sure he wants to sell it. I don't think he should. His decision to make though. Then, as soon as he hung up from that guy, another guy called about the house at Waightstill Mountain. Progress!! At least there are people looking. Last night I went to Ingles and rented a couple movies. I had ordered Twilight from pay per view saturday, but didn't realize it would expire in 24 hours. So Madison didn't get to see it. So, I got Twilight for her, Fireproof for me, Goldilocks & the 3 bears for Emma-Leigh and Stepbrothers for Damion. I haven't watched mine yet - hopefully I will get to watch it tonight. It's back to the gym for me today ~ it's gonna kick my butt. Happy Monday!

It's Friday!!!
3/27/09
Last night we ventured to Cane Creek for the upcoming 6th graders open house and tour. Madison is very excited about being there next year and I felt better about the whole idea when we left. We were able to meet the teachers, visit the classrooms, get an idea about what electives she can participate in... right now she thinks she might do what I would call Foods & Nutrition, in fact, the teacher that taught me in Foods & Nutrition is actually the teacher there - Mrs. Hemphill! I was delighted. So she teaches them to cook, sew and how to do laundry. Fabulous! Right up Madison's alley. The other thing she really wants to do is musical theatre; which you can't just sign up for - you have to try out. I want her to take Spanish, we'll see what happens. Today was her "puberty meeting" at school. Not sure how that went. I'll be sure to ask her about that tonight. Emma-Leigh and Brody attended the open house with us last night. They were goofballs - stirring up trouble, running in the halls and bathing in the water fountains. After that, we went to Jersey Mikes for some dinner and then went home. It is another rainy day here and I am wishing & hoping for another one tomorrow. I want to do absolutely nothing this weekend. Watch movies, clean the house up a little bit - but I do not want to go anywhere or be on any kind of time schedule. Jennifer (Brandon & Alejandra's little girl) will be spending the night with Emma-Leigh Saturday night. She is looking forward to that so much. It should go over quite well. Not sure if we will do our usual Friday night dinner at Papas & Beer. Haven't heard from Damion much today and to be honest, it wouldn't hurt me one bit if we didn't go. I am just so tired!

3/26/2009
15 more minutes left of work and I am watching the clock tick slowly . . . it seems like this week will never end! Tonight is open house at Cane Creek for upcoming 6th graders. 6th grader!!! I have an almost-6th grader!! I just can't believe it. Puberty is in effect, not full force just yet, but I am sure it won't be long and I am just getting older and older and older. So anyway, kinda curious how tonight will go. We will get to tour the school, find out about classes and different electives that are offered...last night the girls and I went out to the office in Hendersonville that Damion has the maintenance contract on and helped clean. Shawn helped out so it wasn't that bad. Didn't take very long. After that, we went to the grocery store to get a few things and Damion went to Little Caesars to get our dinner. Late night again last night - seems like there are never enough hours in the day. I am longing for Saturday morning - to sleep in and do nothing or do whatever I please! I am hoping for RAIN! I would love to wake up and it be really dark outside and just pouring the rain. It would make me stay home and not spend any $! I would like to just lay around and watch movies all weekend. I want to see Twilight, Fireproof and Lakeview Terrace. Damion will work, of course. I wish he would take a break every now and then. He's busy though - so I shouldn't complain. Ok, so it's about time to leave. I'll update you tomorrow on how the night went!

Hump day! 3/25/09
Busy weekend, busy last few days. A lot has happened these past few days. Of course, the girls and I were in Pinehurst for most of the day on Sunday. We went to lunch and then to the ice cream parlor, got home at about 6:30 only to find the dogs out of their crates and Damion not at home and poopy in the floor! Muffin's poop! He knows better than that! If anybody, I would have thought it would have been Maggie. Truth is, she may have and just decided to eat it. That's how she does. blech. So as I've said before, Damion's grandfather passed away Saturday morning and so yesterday was the funeral. But wait, let me back up. Before that, on Monday, I was off work. It was a teacher work day for the girls and mom had to work, so I decided to stay at home with them. We didn't do much - they slept late, took our time getting ready for the day and then met Cindy at panera for lunch. After that, we went to Target where I bought the girls matching black dresses with white polka dots for the family viewing that afternoon at 4pm. Very sad. After that, we all went to eat with the family at Fatz Cafe (which we don't like, but went anyway). Madison, Emma-Leigh, Kayle, Jennifer and Kevin all sat together and me, Damion, Brandon and Alejandra sat together. Nice family time. The other table was Vickie's sisters, their husbands... Then we went home and had a nice quiet evening. Yesterday, I left work at 11 to go meet Damion at the house so we could ride together to the funeral home. Family had to be there at 11:30, the funeral started at 1. After that, the family went to Damion's aunt's house - Damion and I ate lunch at Papas & Beer. Oh yeah, baby - spicy cream chicken! I got back at work at 3:30, worked until 6 and then went to get the girls. We went home, let out the pups and then trekked up to McDonald's for some fast food! After that, we headed downtown to meet Damion at a job site that he needed help cleaning. Didn't get home until 9:30!! The girls still needed to take a bath/shower and then to bed they went! Of course, they were both impossible to get up this morning. And it was such a good morning - rainy, dark - I hope Saturday is like that!! I love rainy days. So now it is Wednesday - we are halfway thru the week and I am aching to sleep in. Aimee and I had lunch together at Panera today. Dr. T is out of town - and let me just add that he shorted me 16 hours on my paycheck!! He must have been really mad at me last week. (He did our paychecks before he went out of town last friday - remember - I had overtime and had to leave early - that means I had 80 hours). So I'm annoyed about that. I don't get the rest of my $ until he gets back on Friday. So...happy wednesday!

It's Ayla's Birthday!!
Today is Saturday, March 21st and we are in Pinehurst for Ayla's 2nd birthday! In just a few minutes, we will head to the park for the kids to play and then return to Tiff and Todd's house for partytime! Madison & Emma-Leigh are so excited to be here! Unfortunately, early this morning, Damion's papaw passed away. I feel like I need to be at home with him but he'd probably work all day just so he wouldn't have to think about it. They are all getting together at his aunt's house at 4pm. Very sad. What's even sadder is that as we get older, we are going to be doing more funerals than weddings and births. I guess that's life, but it's a part of life that I am not looking forward to. I am no good at funerals!! Anyway, we're off to the park for fun time. It's a beautiful sunshiny day, just a little on the cool side. I should have pictures to share later!
